eMail Privacy policy

Whoopy Engineering respects the privacy of it's clients and the Content, and Source or Destination of eMail will only be disclosed to a third party at the request of a Law Enforcement agency

Clients should be aware that under certain rare circumstances such as the occurence of a Mail Routing Loop or a Denial of Service or Spam attack, it may be necessary to suspend the processing of the Mail Transfer Agent and investigate headers of Email queued on the Server to help diagnose the source of the problem. If this is neccesary Whoopy Engineering will keep the Client fully informed of the action taken. Envelope details (From and To mail addresses used by the Mail Transfer Agent, but not Subject or content) are routinely logged, as well as the size of each eMail and any delivery failures.

This Traffic is logged in order to establish whether a particular eMail was successfully delivered and help diagnose problems with the Mail transfer agent. The Envelope details of Email transactions are only kept for 30 days, the statistical traffic volume of data transferred is kept for accounting purposes.

The Logged information is available only to the Whoopy Engineering administrator and the client's administrator on Password protected Web pages on the Whoopy Engineering Support Site.

If the Client has any concerns as to the security of the information carried in eMails they are advised to investigate their own encryption such as PGP.
